About Elaine Breen - Play Therapist in Cork

My name is Elaine Breen. I am a registered accredited play therapist based in Blarney, Co Cork, and I've spent over 20 years supporting children, parents and families through some of life's most difficult moments.

I started my career in parent and family support, working with families navigating complex systems, running parenting programmes, and helping parents access the services their children needed. That background shapes everything I do today as a play therapist. I don't just work with your child. I work with you.

Specialist Support for Neurodivergent Children

I am a neuroaffirmative practitioner with a special interest in Autism Spectrum and ADHD.

This means I work from a place of deep respect for how your child's brain works, not trying to change who they are, but helping them understand themselves, build coping strategies, and feel more at ease in the world.

Many of the families I work with have children on the Autism spectrum who have never had a therapeutic space that truly feels safe for them. That's what I aim to provide.

Working With Your Wider Support Network

Children don't exist in isolation. With your consent, I work collaboratively with teachers, GPs, psychologists, social workers and other service providers to make sure your child is supported consistently at home, at school, and in therapy.

You'll never feel like you're navigating this alone.
